I've never been too into jewelery and accessories as I like having my clothes speak for themselves instead of piling on glittery things that distract from what your wearing - but lately I've felt this changing.
I've received some amazing pieces I actually need to put up here for my 21st birthday and I've begun feeling under-dressed if I'm not wearing at least necklace and some rings. But as the weather gets hotter and hotter and the sun begins to show itself more often, my gold and silver-centric jewelery collection doesn't feel quite right. When I spotted these 2 Gypsies necklaces on Superette's website I knew they were exactly what I was looking for, simple and dreamy for those long summer days and longer summer nights.

Ming Makes Cupcakes.

Ming Makes Cupcakes is one of the most elegantly presented food blog I've come across. Presented simply without the bombing of superfluous photos, it's recipes such as the one above and others like 'Sour Cream Chocolate Cupcakes with Nutella Frosting' are drool inducing. Not only does it have cupcake recipes, Ming Makes Cupcakes also offers Cookie and Savoury Muffin options - just don't visit on an empty stomach!

i've been stuck in the library at uni for twelve hours working on a silly essay, it won't stop being grey and gloomy outside, and my feet are soaked from the massive hole in the sole of my boot i had no idea was even there until I stepped in a massive puddle.

as you can see, I haven't been having the most ideal day.

but, thanks to my fav new zealand blog somuchtotellyou my day has gotten exponentially better! I just won a beautiful lonely by lonely hearts lingerie set through a giveaway on their site.

lonely hearts

It's no news that New Zealand has been blowing up on the fashion scene. With visits from the likes of fashion blogger mainstays rumi and bryanboy to our shores, this hype is only growing. After nearly three years of living here I would have to say that my favourite nz brand by far is lonely hearts. You may have heard of them recently with the large buzz surrounding their lingerie line LONELY, but i think their clothing is amazing. It's quite trendy, I was in a store this afternoon admiring their velvet dresses, leather and paisley leggings and the most amazingly tailoured mens styled trousers. I really hope they get more recognition worlwide.
